About Me

My Work

Thank you for stopping by my website, I hope you will enjoy the images I have created.

Photography is the process of capturing images produced by light. For me it is the constant pursuit of how I will challenge my creativity and push my boundaries to capture an image. Like Minor White said: “…the mental image in a viewer's mind is more important than the photograph itself.”. This does not prevent me from taking the simpler images occasionally. I have begun to photograph the endless wonders of the night sky. It is a highly rewarding experience that gives a deeper connection to the universe.

Creation - Through the years, I have come to realize that God made nature to reveal himself to us. Whether you are enjoying a summer sunset, focusing on a lovely wildflower, or hiking through a forest dressed in autumn colors, you cannot help but be awed by God's creation. O LORD, our Lord, Your majestic name fills the earth! Your glory is higher than the heavens... "When I look at the night sky and see the work of Your fingers the moon and the stars You set in place what are mere mortals that You should think about them, human beings that You should care for them? " Psalm 8

BIO

I began my journey into photography when I went on a mission trip to Central America after high school. With two cheap cameras I shot square slides and 110 negatives, the mid 70's. In early two thousand I pursued medium format Bronica 645 film camera and was greatly impacted with black and white and have frequently gravitated towards it especially in the transition to the dslr camera.

Growing up in the southern Canadian prairies does not give frequent opportunities to see the grander landscapes. Having lived in Northern Manitoba for well over twenty years, a lot of my photography was done in the winter being exposed to ultra cold.  I want to tell a visual story and let your mind journey the world's natural beauty through my images.
